Scar Tissue

So, being a diabetic for 14 years, I have some scar tissue on my stomache and thighs. 2 issues I wanted some advice/feedback on. 1. How can you get rid of it (other than rotating sites)? 2. Does anyone else with scar tissue find that it effects the affectiveness of their insulin delivery?

Thanks!

Scar tissue can affect insulin delivery. I'm not totally sure but I think that scar tissue does not heal. Best ask a medical professional about that if no-one here can give you an answer. It is advisable to change site areas all the time and this may reduce any further scar problems.

There's a link

that has a little bit of information. Most people seem to indicate that rotation and giving the area a rest helps alot.

Talk to a doc to be sure.

The link is here.
