The issue with Acetaminophen is people who go out and take 3 different drugs with Acetaminophen in it, and then kill their liver from their triple dose they just took. There's nothing wrong with taking 2 extra strength Tylenol. There is something wrong with taking that, plus Vicodin, plus sinus medicine with Acetaminophen in it. |

Hence, you drink more and it then becomes problematic. | i don't know what "don't do diet" means. all i said was i don't ever go into fast food, drive through restaurants...

| | | blah that's happened to me...I usually never get soda from fast food places...all they have are the diet cokes which taste terrible (although coke zero does taste a bite better). I usually get diet orange soda...... When I got sick last year though and I was malnourished I would drink regular soda and bolus all the time without a problem...kinda got me addicted for a while but now I'm just back to the diet stuff -_- i just like the insulin-freeness lol

| | | Yea, I'm not too terribly big on fast food lately either, but we were down at the beach and it was handy. And I dont want to use my meter to test my drinks because the one Ive got interacts wirelessly with my pump. I've really cut down on soda, but I must say that Ive probably had 3 regular sodas in the 9 years I've been diagnosed. They just taste so nasty to me now. Like carbonated pancake syrup.

| | Hmm... well I got ahold of some regular coke, I tested with my Bayer Contour, and it gave me a reading of 11!! I tested some Gatorade too and that said 69 (it's not sweeter than the soda, so I'm not sure what's up with that - maybe the electrolytes mess with it)? So I tried the coke again and it said 26... then tried some crystal light (no diet soda around) and it said "LO". Yeah, I don't know what to think.. lol.. but I think I would trust diet to read "LO".
Tested myself and got 123
BTW, I agree about regular tasting like carbonated pancake syrup.. I normally can tell the difference, but if you get a fountain soda with less syrup than normal, it can be difficult to tell the difference right off. |

| | I avoid diet drinks like the plague as they have caffeine which screws up my bg. Diet lemonade is the only drink I have for a treat once in a while. My favourite drink is herbal teas as there are so many and are one of the few things in this world that can't effect my bg even if I overdose on them .
