| | | Erectile dysfunction Im 20 and recently had a problem with obtaining a erection, i think its mainly to do with stress and depression but i come across a pill called the golden root complex which helps with gettin an erection, but im not sure if its safe for someone with type 1 diabetes to take. Could someone shed some light on this for me please thanks. |

| | | You should get your testosterone levels checked, could be your levels are low. Allthough not as common in type 1s as in type 2s, it still occurs.
Or get a note from the doctor for viagra or something like that, stuff you buy on the internet can give you serious problems. I've read about guys having an erection for days, leading to having emergency surgery and such.

| | | You would probably be better off getting your numbers in check. High BG levels can cause ED. Get your numbers lowered to better levels and that should help dramatically.
Fasting levels from 70-120 and 2 hour post meal numbers under 140.
Dont buy into the spam on the internet. |

| | I agree with mortis505 your BG numbers can work in "mysterious" ways. Fix that and you should have less problems, I remember back when I was 20 |

| | Never heard of golden root complex. But my endo did prescribed me cialis in the past (no longer need it I might add) and it worked extremely well! Like really super well It didn't have any kind of negative impact on my diabetes or glucose levels.
If I ever need it again though I think I would rather use a more natural or herbal supplement that offers similar results since cialis and viagra are expensive and 100% chemical based |

| | | The things that have helped me, all you can find on the web or at your local whole foods store. All have reported benefits and minimal side effects, there is plenty of info out there for these supps.
L-Arginine 2-3000 mg day
Taurine 1500mg a day
Ginkgo 3 day
DHEA 75mg 3 day
Alpha Lipoic Acid 2000 mg day
Asprin 321 mg dose 1 day
I will never ever, never, ever take Yohimbe again, darn near killed me. Didn't sleep due to the push on my BP for 24hrs.

| | | I'd encourage you to have a male endocrine panel drawn to check your testosterone and other levels. There are many treatments now available for ED, so you have plenty of options. Keeping your blood sugar at the appropriate levels will help a lot.
You should seek the advice of a urologist who can let you know the treatment options available. There are pills, injections, urethral suppositories and vacuum erection devices. We have men who visit our office who have had their prostates removed due to cancer who are able to have normal erectile function using these treatments.

| Define slightly. Anything over 180 will have a very detrimental effect on downstairs.
I know this sounds crude and blunt, but are you waking up with a morning glory? If you are, your problem is a psychological one (stress, anxiety etc.) and won't be fixed by any medication, be it this herbal stuff, or Viagra won't fix it until the underlying issue isn't dealt with.
If you aren't waking up standing to attention, then it may be a physical problem which you probably want to get checked out by a professional. |

| | | from personal experience; blood sugar being too high or too low can both have negative effects on penis size. Just another reason to keep good control of blood sugars.

Too high or too low BG can definitely have an impact on your erection and performance but not specifically penis size. However, there is a correlation between size and the firmness of your erection so I think thats what you might be refering to.
If my blood sugar is too low, I may have a difficult time attaining a hard on and or maitaining an erection. If my blood sugar is too high its not nearly as difficult as when its too low, but I certainly don't feel comfortable having blood w/ high sugar flowing in my package causing nerve damage and what not... |
