I put lotion on my hands every couple of days. I have found that really helps me.

An endo that I use to see (he works for Eli Lilliy now) has diabetes and told me that he doesn't use his thumbs or his right index finger, but starts at the next finger over and uses that one for Monday, the next one for Tuesdays tests, and so on, that way each finger has 1 week to "heal" before the next round of tests. This has worked great for me. I typically test 8 to 10 times per day & had exactly what you describe, since I tried this method, my fingers are 99% better

I'll try that, thanks.

So far I have two fingers that won't give up any blood at a lancet setting I can tolerate without screaming in pain, and I was told to never use the pinkies or thumbs. That leaves four fingers I can test on and they hurt like you know what all the time. I can hardly even touch anything without wincing in pain.
