I need help! I had an SI joint injection and the lumbar epidural one done at a surgery center last Friday. Beginning the day AFTER, by glucoses have been 260 up to 500 steadily. I am taking about 3x or more the dosage I normally take, pushing fluids and taking small carbs. I am type I and have an insulin pump, thankfully. I had an injection in the trochanter 2 weeks ago, the effects lasted about 4 days, I am now on my 9th day of this turmoil! Naturally, I have changed my pump site several times and check the glucose about every 2 hours and even OVER bolus.
HOW LONG is this going to go on???!!!

I also had both of those injections and for me, the effect on the blood sugar was several weeks.
It's really hard to say what it'll be for you. I think it's different for everyone everytime.
I hope this ends soon for you and that the injections were effective!
