On the Other Side of the Wall

Thanks to all of you I have found my way over, under, or around that horrible wall I'd hit last week. Not sure which of those directions I took, but it's certainly a better week.

This also helps: New A1C (even after the horrible control of the past 14 days) is 5.6!!! My doc even wrote "Remarkable" on the labs when she faxed them over - she's a good egg.

I do have a question: My trigs are 46, LDL is 105, VLDL 9 which all seems good, but HDL is 100. Doctor is not concerned...should I be?

Thanks,
Jen

I just got mine done as well. My HDL is a bit higher than yours while my LDL and Tri's are pretty close.
My endo at Joslin has been saying for a while that we need to keep an eye on those. But again he decided that with the good LDL and Tri's, meds are not indicated at this time.
Since I'm not real keen on taking pills that's a relief.

Oh yeah and I'm jealous of your A1c. Good job!

WOW thats great news for sure, Especially after hitting "the wall" and still coming out with a 5.6 A1c. That really says something about your control before your days of trouble I recently hit the 5.6 mark also, and it has to be one of the best feelings ever after geting a lab back Congrats
