Talking one year has passed

YAY! I have made it a year. I am so happy. Last May 11th I was diagnosed with diabetes. I am on the pump and my blood sugars are normal except for a few occasional times!

I LOVE PICKLES! A.K.A my certain special someone! hahahaha!

In about a week I *think* it will be 15 years for me...For whatever reason, I never quite marked the occasion. I'm jealous of you, though: I wish I had started pumping MUCH earlier in my diabetic life. I wonder what would be better about my life right now.

Congrats on the one year...there will be many more!

Hey...I also like to remember these type of occasions. I just celebrated (maybe not the right word ) my 3 year anniversary of having diabetes. In a way it feels like I have had Diabetes forever, but then it also feels like I was just dx'ed yesterday. To me remembering this is important, b/c I think I have learned a lot and have come a long way since my diagnosis. I'm sure you have learned a lot in the last year and I hope you will continue to do so...knowlege really is power

I never remember the exact date, just that it is in February. The only reason I remember is because it was 8 months after my oldest was born. Now my sister I remember her date, my wedding anniversary. Otherwise I would forget. Not sure if she realizes that. It was just 13 yrs for me and will be for her next month.

I am glad things are going well for you and keep up the good work.

Kim

I am glad you are doing so well

I don't think I could ever forget the day Thomas was diagnosed. Sept. 24th, 5 days before his (10th) birthday.

Congrats on making it a year. I don't remember the exaxt date (Mom may, tho, LOL) but it was toward the end of September 1984 !!!!!!!! Sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the good work and you will get far.
