At this current time no. The main reason is because Humalog currently most mimics the human body in the amount of time it takes for food to be digested. If they had anything that acted faster, then the peak of the insulin may be sooner than the peak of the food, which could be helpful for some people, but the population of that is really so small that it's not fully worth creating an insulin for yet.

I think you stated your own problem right there. I put the blame on the NPH. If you are running extremely high at the 1 hour mark, then that means you need more humalog for that meal. I take it you don't carb count at all and you pretty much give the same shot and eat the same food (or amounts of) every day?
The reason I'd say you have that drop 4 hours later is because that is almost near the peak of the NPH. Do you eat lunch? Have you tested what you are running around lunch time? But I personally think it has fully to do with the NPH causing you to go low. Have you talked to a doctor about maybe switching to something else like Lantus?
