MS Walk

I am walking in the MS walk here in New York on April 23rd and I thought it would be nice to show support for Cinnabon and her recent diagnosis with the disease. I approached Tony and he said it would be okay to post asking people to donate. If you would like to make a donation to show support for Cinnabon and provide comprehensive support services, educational programs, and fund a national research initiative into the cause, treatments and cure of Multiple Sclerosis you can go to: http://msnyc.kintera.org/mswalk06/erin_lampinen and make an online credit card donation, or print out a form to mail with a check, directly to the MS society. If you just want to learn a little more about the disease, you can go to www.nationalmssociety.org. Thanks.

What a neat thing for you to do. I certainly want to give some support to Cinnabon. I'm sure that most of us do.

Too bad we can donate directly to a Cinnabon fund. I'm sure she will be incurring some expenses with the MS treatment.

Erin, I think what you are doing and suggesting that we donate is simply WONDERFUL !!!!!!!!!
I have a friend with MS who I have not seen in over a year. Her fiance was the one who gave her the injections of her medication but he died and I was asked to do this for her. It wasn't much more complicated than what I do on a daily basis, but I was more than glad to do what I could to help.
I just wanted to say bravo to you for what you are doing.

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to thank everybody for the support they've shown me, and Mars (Cinnabon). With significant help from members of this forum I was able to raise $500 to support MS research and support services.

The walk was wonderful, except for the fact that it was the rainiest day of the season! It was interesting trying to check my blood sugar, I tried to dry my hands first, but there wasn't anything dry in sight! ... I ended up having to throw away the vial of strips I brought with me, as well as my cell phone, and pretty much everything in my bag b/c they were all waterlogged.

The sun came out as I got on the subway to go home. I'm complaining, but in reality it was a fun day, and I think seeing that many people walking in ponchos and rain gear raised awareness a little more, because New Yorkers don't notice things unless they are REALLY out of the ordinary.

Thanks again, You all are AWESOME!

Erin...

I think it's wonderful that you did this walk... It's a great way to support a good cause and it also can be fun. I'm glad that you had fun, despite the rainy weather.

Thanks for keeping us posted
