Bolus for protein?

I've just eaten an omelette for lunch (2 eggs with ham, cheese, onion & mushroom) Should I bolus anything for the protein? My bs pre-lunch was 5mmol. Thanks.

I probably wouldn't bolus anything...or very little, being that there isn't any carbohydrates in that meal. Then if you spike, you know next time how much you'll need to cover it. I never really have a meal with 0 carbs, so I haven't run into this a lot. I'm sure some others out there will probably be able to give you better advice.

Let us know how it goes

great that you stayed steady! I love omlettes. My husband makes the best I usually still bolus 15 carbs just because he puts a little milk in the egg. But, otherwise, I would say that you are just fine not bolusing. It just depends on how your body reacts to food, I guess. There are some people that eat protien, and they still go up. It is just that whole individuality factor....lol
