| | | My Diabetes and my MS Hello fam...
Just got home from the Neuro and she read off to my results from my Spinal Tap. Everything is negative which is good, because it rules out A LOT of other disease like; Lupus, tumors, and many others.
She does not want to start me on meds yet, because its sooo early, I was kinda happy, but I guess im eager to start. She confirmed it to me that yes, it was MS and that it is at a VERY early stage. She sent me to the MS center of Miami ( http://www.msmiami.org/). There the doctor can pin point a few things for me, such as what I can take for mental alertness, the fatigue, and all that. ALL the ground work is all ready done (ouch!) lol.
I have to thank you all, because I wouldn't have this attitude towards all this if it weren't for all of you.
************* THANK YOU *****************

| | It sounds like you are handling this well. They are making all kinds of headway with this disease, so maybe before your progresses much, they will have a cure. How are you feeling, anyway?

| | | That's great, Cinn. I hope the MS center is a big help and helps you manage this well. You have had so much to deal with and you are taking it like a champ. As others have said, you truly are inspiring and your little girl really has a hero to look up to.
Take good care of yourself and have some fun--laughter does really help.

| | | I'm thinking that has got to be good news that it was caught very early. Presumably this gives you a head start on managing it?
You are so amazing! Be especially good to yourself for a while - you deserve it.
cheers,
j

| | Well, this isn't the news I wanted for you ....but I think you are handling things exceptionally well and I'm so impressed. Keep this great attitude about things, I think it will definitely help you along the way...
Also, try not to let this overwhelm you too much... Do what you can to learn about what you are dealing with one step at a time - soon this too will be second nature to manage. ANd please know we're here for you for support whenever you need it .
