Hi Everyone!

I just got off the phone with my dr's office, and they have decided that they are going to start me on symlin on Monday. I'm so nervous....I've heard good things and I've heard bad things. But, I figure that I need to try it because in the long run, it could be really beneficial to me. Also, the splitting the insulin intake in half sounds pretty nice to me too I have the appointment on Monday. If all else fails, I can just go off of it right????

I guess I just need some happy words right now......any and all would be appreciated. Thanks!

You'll be fine...It's not like they're going to tell you "Hey, you need to take this stuff daily or you'll DIE". In other words, you've been there, done that, and it wasn't that bad...right?

Good point. I am just nervous though. I am also a little worried about scaring my husband. I have heard that the first couple of weeks on this stuff, people tend to be pretty sick to their stomach, and whenever I throw up, my husband tries to make me stay home from work. He is such a good dear But, I know that the big D scares him at times.

Also, for those on it, what have your copays been like for it?
