| | | Help - found out I'm pregnant and my AIC is 6.8 My A1c pre-pregnancy was 5.8. (diet and exercise only) I don't have an appointment to get insulin until next week.
So should I be freaked? Is my baby okay?
This is my first pregnancy and I will admit I get worried.
Thanks in advance!

| | | You're fine, your baby is fine. As long as your A1c is under 7, most OBs won't care. They will tell you to keep your fasting under 95 and 2 hour post to under 120.
Congrats!

| | | Thank you!!!!
I can breathe a sigh of relief and talk to my regular doc on Wednesday. The endo wants me to do Glybride until I get on insulin - but I have read this is not recommended for pregnancy. so for those of you who have been through this - is it safe?
I am very happy to be pregnant, although my fiance and I had planned on waiting till after the wedding (March) but I won't turn down a blessing as good as this!
Thanks again,
