still another Lantus question

How long does it take Lantus to lower BS - I took my first shot last night and this morning it wasnt much different than yesterday (without Lantus at night) also.. this morning my injection site was a little red... is that normal?

It will take a few days for it all to smooth out, maybe even up to a week. It's an annoyance - tweaking doses doesn't give you instantaneous results. And yes, the redness is normal, if you're brand new to Lantus it might take your body a little while to get used to it and go away. I've been on it for 4 years and I still get a bit of a reaction every now and then. Just keep watch for other side effects, there are some people that are allergic to the solution.
