| i was diagnosed @ the age of 19 with High BP, and i was only slightly over weight at that point, i was being examined for my quarterly supply of Birth control pills at the local health department.
I remember the day I went in, they tested my BP, it was extremely high. I went ahead and had my exams etc.. by the end of the appointment (before they gave my BC pills) they tested me again to see if I went any lower, since sitting in the doc's office well can raise your blood pressure etc.. Well it didnt go down in fact it went up a bit....
They immediately took me off birth control and said you need to see your family doc ASAP
i would say if you had the two readings at different times, its time for the meds, im just wondering if they retested later before letting you leave the office before making the decision?
