Thank you! |

| | | I prefer my thigh but back of arm (requires a bit of practise), or belly is fine. I find I can bruise easier on my tummy than anywhere else. Just give yourself a jab and you'll figure out what feels good for you. I just make sure I use ultra fine needles. To me that's more important than the "where".

| | For me, the best place is the thigh. It seems to last the distance better than when I jab in my belly and doesn't hurt now that I finally figured out how to relax my leg properly.
You'll have to see what suits you with trial and error... good luck

| | | According to my CDE, absorption is fastest in the abdomen area, relative to thighs/arms. I've just started on Lantus, for now I'm going for the thighs - until I get the hang of it & get the dosage optimised.
Must say, it's much less of an issue than I thought it was going to be! The finger-pricks for bg measurement are much worse than injecting insulin... |

| | | as dbc has said i was told by my nurse that it's best to inject long acting in the thighs because it's slightly more slowly absorbed.
I generally inject there because i want to rotate my sites and i generally use my stomach during the day as i'm out and it's easier, at night (10pm) when lantus is due i'm often home and it's ok to pull my trousers down.
i haven't noticed any difference in my blood sugars though when i have used different sites for the lantus
