Health Insurance

Does anyone have ideas about getting health insurance? I have health now with Blue Cross but its only good in my state so I can not move or I have to apply again !!

When Blue Cross says they are a "national" company, it means nothing.

I am just now switching my group health insurance (I own a business) from a company that has stopped carrying small business groups to Anthem (Blue Cross). I'm a Virginia girl and no plans to move so that's "okay". If something happens when I'm traveling, as I understand it, I may have to pay a bigger percentage of the bill but there's an out of pocket annual cap I can live with.

Actually, I am a licensed health insurance agent but I don't sell health insurance (other than to myself!). One of the licenses I do need to do my job is a life insurance license, and that "comes with" a health insurance license, too.

If you are planning to move and will need different coverage, maybe you can contact a broker who represents a number of companies? That type of professional can compare rates and plans and help you come up with what will suit your situation the best.

is your health insurance through your work???

most of the time i have to switch insurance companies when i switch jobs... which generally isnt a big deal.... unless there is a preexisting condition clause

here in kentucky they can not do a preexisting condition if you had insurance at the time the new policy started....

yes they are different "brands" of bluecross blueshield
