| I am just now switching my group health insurance (I own a business) from a company that has stopped carrying small business groups to Anthem (Blue Cross). I'm a Virginia girl and no plans to move so that's "okay". If something happens when I'm traveling, as I understand it, I may have to pay a bigger percentage of the bill but there's an out of pocket annual cap I can live with.
Actually, I am a licensed health insurance agent but I don't sell health insurance (other than to myself!). One of the licenses I do need to do my job is a life insurance license, and that "comes with" a health insurance license, too.
If you are planning to move and will need different coverage, maybe you can contact a broker who represents a number of companies? That type of professional can compare rates and plans and help you come up with what will suit your situation the best.
