Hi everyone. Had to share my newest bloodwork. This is only the 2nd blood work i've had since my initial diagnosis.
A1C: 5.3, down from 6.2 in Nov. 06
HDL: 44, up from 24 in Nov.
LDL: 120, down 3 points from Nov...still too high
Liver function: normal, was slightly elevated in Nov.
I've been drinking red wine at bedtime and taking fish-oil tablets to help the HDL....must be helping.
I'm really proud of the improvements in the results. I appreciate all your advice and support!

Dinner: Appetizer of potato skins, Yeast rolls, baked potato, mac n cheese, corn bread, birthday cake, REAL ice cream and chocolate milk to wash it all down.......intervention time!

You'd have 90 days to make up for it before your test checkup and most likely it wouldn't affect your A1c one bit. Except your control would be lousy for a week afterward as you tried to regain lost ground.
(ok, I'll fess up, I had a little fun during a 3 day biz trip to Florida a couple weeks ago and I'm still kicking myself for it.) |
