My follow up appt and - my Dr. just got diagnosed as a Type1

Went to the Dr. today to follow up on meds, etc. and noticed the medic-alert bracelet ;-) He just got diagnosed as a type 1. He's doing the usual lantus/humalog gig and says its going well. Bummer that he had to join the club, but he is young, in great shape, is motivated and is very pro-active. Its going to help him alot with his D patients for sure.

kinda wild...he lives down the street from me too and is the president of our HOA -lol. I have fixed his PCs before (too bad we can't trade services ;-)

Anyhoo...my averages for the month were 112 ! We really watched the carb intake in June which helped alot. My FSB's are still too high and mid-day also, so we did a C-peptide and bumped the Lizard to 10mg. May move to lantus depending on the results of the C-peptide. 6.0 (and under) is my goal !!! Also lost 11.5 lbs in June, so getting close to target. A good day today - its nice to have them after my last visit (10.7 A1c)

blessings to all...have a happy 4th, if you have those where you are...ah...have one anyway if you don't

Glad you had a good office visit. Congrats on your averages and the weight loss....I know how difficult that can be. Keep up the good work!

BTW, my B-I-L has had excellent results with lantus. He's been on it for about a year now and has seen great improvement in his fasting #'s.
