| Vagus Nerve and Type 2 I read an article on the part of the vagus that goes to the liver. It was found if the vagus nerve that goes to the liver is cut all insuline resistance goes away very quickly. It is now thought insuline resistance is link to a change in brain chemicals send signals to the liver via the vegas nerve. They don't know how exactle how the process works but it may lead to new treatments for type 2 if they can completely block insuline resistance and stop the development of type 2.
I wish I could remember where I read to put a link here but I can't and I have search google again but no luck. |
