| Dilemma of Type 2 Diabetes As a Type 2 diabetic, I have been told that I have to loose weight and so I cut my calories drastically and achieved my goal. Now, on the other hand I have been told that I have to reduce fat and gain quality muscles. So, does it mean that now again I have to eat more calories (with high protein) to build muscles? If yes, then again I will gain weight and back to where I was before loosing weight.
The only difference with this I can see is the objective behind the new weight gain should be the quality muscles. Can anyone please let me know whether my interpretation is correct and offer any piece of advise to gain quality muscles apart from strength training (which I am already doing) like including protein shake, carnitine supplements etc....
