Well just got back from the Dr.'s appointment this morning for a follow up on my DKA from last weekend. Looks like I am going to be stuck on this insulin for awile. Kind of bummed about it but I will make due. In fact she raised it a bit. I was on 7.5 for Novilin but my morning numbers did not look so good. I was waking up with a sugar count of 200 or more. She raised it to 10 units and if my numbers are still over 140 when I wake up to increase my night shot by two units every two days until I get it under controll. Still on the sliding scale too. I need to tighten up my diet. On the plus side I lost five pounds in about a week. Still a little over weight but not by much. My BMI was 26.2 and I need it at least 25 or below.

You can do it... its hard to get the **** yo-yo to stop, but it sounds like you have a great attitude and are focused. Be sure to let us know how its going.
