| I was on Avandia, but told my primary care doctor that I stopped taking it when the first warnings came out. He replaced it with Actos. I had a terrible reaction to it, and stopped taking that too. I had no idea that Actos was also included in the warning until I saw a later report.
Last I heard, both drugs now have the "Black Box" warning from the FDA; the highest level of warning a drug can get before being recalled.
FWIW, my endo had suggested I get off Avandia before the warning. His opinion was that it would make losing weight more difficult.
