Lab Report Back

I saw my PCP Friday afternoon:

A1C: 5.8
Fasting glucose: 114
Cholesterol: 152
HDL: 43
LDL: 87
Triglyceride: 110

Okay, so my HDL should be higher, and my LDL lower. Even though they are slightly worse than my previous report, they are still within the good range and, considering the cheating I've been doing, they're pretty good. He read me the riot act about not following a strict diet (gee, I think he really cares!).

I explained to him what's going on with the Byetta (slight intermittent nausea, constipation, and numbers occasionally dipping a little lower than I like), so he's cutting the dose down from 10mcg to 5mcg twice a day. That, along with increasing the Metformin and watching what I eat should work. He said that once things are stable, I can stretch my visits out to once every 6 months.
