| Is it possible I've been IR my whole life? I'm just thinking out loud here.
Looking back on being a kid and a young adult, my muscles would easily fatigue. I would fight being "fat" even though I don't think I really ate more or ate worse food than my friends who were naturally slim. I enjoyed sports to the max, willing to play virtually any game with a ball in it for hours without stopping. I always felt good after a good long physical activity.
So my hypothesis is this. Maybe a lot of T2 diabetics are really totally genetic unfortunates. Maybe it just takes a long time for most to eventually no longer be able to keep up with their IR. Maybe my blood sugar always spiked higher than it should but eventually my body would catch up and maybe that's why I liked the physical exertion, a need to use that glucose.
I have no facts or studies to back any of this but I wonder...what do you think?
