| The only difference is how fast it's "replaced." Technically during each pump of the heart blood is not replaced with it. Some areas of the body blood travels less often too. I'm not sure what the palm is but I know the forearm I believe is about 5-10 minutes behind the tips of the fingers.
The ONLY time this becomes an issue is if your BG is changing rather quickly up or down. For the general population of a type 2, this shouldn't be an issue unless you are on insulin or trying to find out how fast your body returns back to normal after eating something.
