The Dr. put me on time released metformin to see if it helps with my morning bg. I'm usually at 170 when I wake up at 5:45am. For those of you that take something like Glumetza, do you use the normal metformin in the morning and do you take at least 1 normal acting metformin at night? My bg actually went up taking 3 500mg glumetza tabs at night. So on my own I decided this evening to take 1 500mg Metformin in the morning and 2 500mg Glumetza + 1 500mg Metformin at night. I'll call the Dr. in a week if the numbers are better. If not I'm just going to ask to go back to just Metformin since my Daily average was @ 128.. It's @ 180 with just glumetza. I'm exercising the same as I did earlier. so It's the drug change.

Anyway, If you take a time released drug like Glumetza, do you take a normal acting one as well?
