Does a standard deviation represent variance in BOTH directions of an AVG, or TOTAL variance...
Example, which one is accurate?
A. Avg=50, SD 30, Range=120-180
B. Avg=150, SD=30, Range=135-165
I know it is a basic picture, but is it close? Statistics class was a while ago...
