Swelling Oedema

Hi went at my GP yesterday, first time since I got out of the Hospital for my Cellulitis .He found that I was still swollen .So he prescribed a diuritic Lasix (furosemide 40mg) .I already take a 80mg furosemide .And have to get Pressure Gradient Stockings .With the furosemide I'll have to get more blood sample taken to check my potassium levels, and more testing for Bs ;furosemide raises the Bs .When I got home I checked my medication ,per day I take 34 pills ,on that there's 16 for Parkinson + my insulin my pharmacist knows me on a first name basis ,but my medical insurance just went up for everybody maybe i'm part of the raise ? Next stop on the 5 th of May to see the ophtalmologist ???.Bye Ricky

I'm sure it must be frustrating to have to keep up with that many pills. I'd definitely want to f/u on the blood work for the Lasix, to make sure your potassium stays normal while you're losing all that fluid.

Do you keep your legs elevated while at rest? Hopefully your increase in meds and your pressure stockings will help with the leg edema.

Good luck with your ophthalmologist visit..you'll have to let us know how things are going.
