Glycemic Level Charts

Hi Everyone,

First of all thanks to all of you for all the great info. This site has really helped me in my search to understand and control diabetes.

My question is the following: Does anyone know where on the internet I may be able to find graphs that plot the healthy postprandial levels in time after a meal? I would like to know how quickly the glucose levels rise and then how long it takes for them to normalise. Does anyone know of such a site where graphs with this data can be reviewed.

The graph in this post shows BG levels for non-diabetics over a 24 hour period. Normal blood glucose graph
The blue line is the average for a group of healthy young people. As you can see, it goes over 125 after break fast and comes down to about 90 after 2 hours.

Hi BlueSky

That graph is brilliant! So that's what we're all aiming for Saves me pricking all my family to conduct my own 'normal' survey - many thanks and a big thank you from Bevvie's family

My meter came with a card to send in to get a cord and a program to do various charts and graphs on the computer. You may want to also check with your meter and medication mfg for additional web grafting sites.

My diabetic ed person downloads mine once a month and it is really neat to see all the different charts and graphs. I need to get a new computer so I can do this at home. I keep telling my sons that's what I want for my next present.

Have a great day and keep learning
