CONGRATULATIONS!

Wow.......what a fantastic improvement in your A1c and the weight you've lost thus far. Keep up the hard work because it's obviously paying off!

Great report! I've got about 3 weeks before my next lab work. I'm interested to see the results. Looks like we've been pretty much on the same path except for the gall bladder thing. I've been on a CPAP for about 4 years. Was diagnosed with HBP 2 years ago, and diabetes a couple of months ago. I don't remember my original A1C at diagnosis, but it was just over 7. Doc immediately put me on metformin and gemfibrozil (for triglycerides). With the meds, diet and excercise, my glucose level has stabilized. I haven't lost quite the weight you have (23 lbs), but I have lost over 4 inches around my waist. I'm hoping my next test results are as successful as yours!

I'll pop a diet soda and toast your success!

My celebration consisted of a quiet evening with my wife. She has been with me every step of this journey. I have driven her mad but she is still with me.

I have been so mentally out of it over the past few months that for a few hours, I was finally able to relax and enjoy some time with her. It was the first time since my diagnosis that I showed any sign of being happy.

WELL DONE!!!!
You have done really well...I also had my gallbladder out last year and I suspect I am going to need help with sleep apnea. I have my first after diagnosis A1C in June...I hope I get such a good result!!
Have a day of spoiling yourself..you deserve it!
