Kubilee,

What you did is not called "interfering" it is called "intervention." In my book and knowing what you know, how could you have done otherwise?

I agree with Alice. You did what was right according to law and you went with your conscience to top it off. It always takes a strong person to be guided by a principle, but with a child's future at risk you have no choice. I am so glad the court saw it your way too.

Your son and someday your grand-daughter will come to see your action for what it is. A just and principled thing to do, and done out of love.

Mich

Boy, I sure hope so. This son of mine, up to this point in time, he and I were the very best of friends..... he never raised his voice to me, we could talk about anything, I mean, ****... how many 18 yr old boys come to their PARENTS when something like this happens? LOL

But since this, he's REALLY felt the tough love part and has never ever needed it until now, he just never did..... he wasn't perfect, in fact, the opposite, but he always showed me respect so I never interfered, and now that the tough love thing has hit HIM, for the very first time, he didn't take it too well. lol

I think my kids know by now I will do whatever it takes to get their attention, and I have to say, at their ages, I wasn't so happy when someone did things I didn't think was fair either.... MY way was always the right way.... but now I am glad some did give it to me straight. And to this day I hate people who just tell me what I wanna hear.

Kubilee, glad you are working through this situation. My prayers go with you. You did the right thing, for that girl, and for your granddaughter. When you've done the right thing, for the right reasons, you can hold up your head, no matter what anyone else says about you.

Take care.

My husband plays music and he has a couple of those babies.... he treats them like they are his kids. Same music interests as you too....
Those are my two Martin guitars. I also have 2 Fender elec gits, 2 Fender basses, 1 Gibson elec git and 1 Warwick fretless bass.

I play for fun and have much more gear than talent.

lol

My husband has all the talent, but none of the confidence, and I am trying to change that. LOL

He has an entire studio out here to record in and has been recording finally. He went thru the longest time trying to find the perfect sound from an amp he wanted....... when his old Carvin shot, he has spent all this time trying to find a suitable replacement..... he FINALLY found it a few months ago in a Mesa Boogie....... whew!!

He LOVES Martin guitars.

He plays a little of everything, Gibson, Charvell, Fender and lord only knows what else he has...... lol
