Should I Get Glucose Tested also on same day?

Hello again folks. I am going Tuesday for a blood test which will include a hepatitis test since my vision is crazy and I have had some sores which may or may have not been diabetic in nature. I guess fear of blindness or worse is hitting me. I have had two tests done previously and the Blood serum level have both been 93 and 105 respectively. I was wondering if you folks thought that I should have a glucose tolerance test the same day if possible? This is all new to me and kind of scary. I have read and learned lots of information on here and I appreciate your help. Thanks

Brad

Brad...... Seeing how you're having blood drawn, ask for an A1c (3-4 month average of your blood sugars) and a fasting glucose done at the same time.

Thanks Karen. I have seen people talk about the three month test and the initials and never knew what they were. Thanks again.

I agree if you are getting the blood drawn anyway it costs about the same to run one more test so check everything you can while at the lab! If you have veins as hard to find as mine you definitely need to do it all at one time.

Good luck hope and pray they find some answers for you,
