Got A1c results today

Well I just got the results of my latest A1c, down from 6.8% to 6.1%. I'm a happy camper, little celebration tonight and then back to work to break that 6.0 barrier.

Heard my liver, Cholesterol levels were fine (results by phone), will get details next week.

Obesity and Type 2 are strongly associated. Most people assume that Obesity is the cause and Diabetes the effect. It is equally valid to suggest that the underlying metabolic disorder which leads to the Type 2 causes the Obesity.

Way to go Dave! If you don't watch out, you won't be a "big" Irishman anymore!

Be careful now and don't celebrate for too long . . .

Thanks guys, is great having a place to share even a small improvement with people who really understand what it takes to make an improvement.

I had a nice Chinese takeaway:

- Chicken and Sweetcorn soup
- Breast of chicken curry
- Small portion of fried rice

It tasted so good, funny how not eating something for 6 months makes it take even nicer.
