The difference between 5mc and 10mc Byetta?

Hi Everyone,
I started on the Byetta 5 last week and so far so good! My numbers have dropped but probably not as much as i would have liked. I am still getting numbers of around 144 after meals. I am going on the Byetta 10 after 1 month on the 5. MY question is does the 10 reduce your readings further? Does the 10 reduce your appetite more? Thanks in advance Gabby

Yes to both questions, in my experience.

If you want to see if it makes any difference, just give yourself two injections with the 5mcg pen and see what happens. That's what I did and I ended up going to the 10 mcg pen. If you can manage it, I left the pen in and reset it to give me a second dose. It's not that hard to do, just make sure you can see the dose indicator when you stick it in.

The difference between 5mc and 10mc is 5mc (is what he meant)

10mc - 5mc = 5mc

Oh Ok so thats how it can be on this forum. I thought i was asking a reasonable question but obviously the way i worded it left me wide open for smart a$$ replies. At least some of the other replies new what i was REALLY asking. Thanks for the helpful replies everyone else. But truly why bother replying if your just going to pick holes in the question i asked. Diabetes Support Group?????????? hmmmmm i wonder!!!!!!

Oh, geeze -- Get over yourself. If you could stop and appreciate a sense of humor once in awhile, it would probably be good for your health and diabetes.

People who go around looking for the opportunity to become insulted almost always find it
