| | PDAs Does anyone using insulin use a PDA (palm pilot OS or windows mobile) to keep records rather than a hard copy log book?
I'm after a programme that will let me see the results, upload them to the computer and that also has a carb reference list. I'd also like it to not cost too much!
Any recommendations?

| | | Your BG meter should have a jack on it that allows you to plug it into a computer and download all the readings. You can usually get the cable from the meter maker.

| | I too have been searching for Diabetes Management Software for my Palm TX.
Unfortunately, I'm not thrilled with anything I've found so far...
However, Maybe one or more of these will meet your needs:
UTS Diabetes UTS Diabetes Palm PDA software : from Pilot to Tungsten and Treo
CarbCheck Pro CarbCheck Diabetes Palm Pilot Software
HealthEngage Diabetes Diabetes Software for Desktop, Palm, PocketPC, Phone, Web: HealthEngage Diabetes

| | | I use Calorie King on my Palm, but for the general diabetes management, I didn't like anything out there. I just use an Excel spreadsheet which I can sync to my Palm with Documents to Go. You can design your own spreadsheet or maybe someone has one they could share.

So far I've not found palm software I like better than my own spreadsheet...
I'll have to look into the calorie King though. I didn't know they had palm software, and a good carb counter is something I sorely need for my Palm.

| | On my iPhone, I use my web browser and access SugarStats.com - Simple, Online Blood Sugar Tracking for Diabetes Management. It is free for blood glucose and meds, and you can pay $9 US a month to track execise and food as well. There is an iPhone app called Glucose-charter which I paid $4.99 US but I haven't done much with it at this time.

| | | I have used the uts Universal tracking system on my palm e2 and it is allot to enter. I have changed to the Aviva meter and the compass software it saves me allot of time. I really like them both and you know for one thing you always have your meter with you the palm is just another thing to carry around.
