Thank you for your response. I have watched my carbs as a rule for quite some time now, but lately have been very bad with my eating! I'm thinking it is catching up to me right about now!

Thank you to everyone who replied on this thread. I'm thinking from what some have said that I have gone "High" from snacking on candy bars in place of a meal (hangs head in shame) and then dropped quickly causing a low later on.

I don't know what's wrong with me lately, I've thrown all caution to the wind! I guess the BG is whipping me back to reality!

How many carbs were in the pork chop? Unless it was breaded, I'm thinking none. If you ate less carbs than usual and took the same amount of meds, that's what happened. However, on byetta, that's a normal 1-hour number for me so again, not something dangerously low but if way out of the norm for you, it would be something to check probably every half our for a couple hours to be sure you're not headed for a crash. On the byetta, I will be "low" soon after a meal but rebound to a less low number over the next 2-3 hours.

You quoted me exactly. This week when I had my low it reminded me I have a disease. I have become so used to being diabetic and had not had any problems. I think I became comfortable with it.

My dietician told me anything below 80 is a low for a diabetic. I had never experienced that "hunger" feeling before this week. Being diabetic is like living a big puzzle.

How are you feeling today?
