Debbie, I avoid carbs that are unnecessary but things like beans are ok in my opinion. I don't get much in the way as the stuff in cans for the corn syrup they pack them in. I have found some ok ones.
This has cut me way back on consuming beans. I would not suggest the beano, let the carbs pass. I don't get much if any gas from beans, only if I eat way more than I should. But I know I am not typical as rice gives me gas which now works in my favor.
So enjoy your beans, maybe with some franks.
