fluctuating sugar level

On an empty stomach, which as I had read is the optimal measuring time, I have around 150, but two hours later and during the day about 125. Which is the "right" measurement? I am tired of the diabetes regime (I know all of us are!!!1) and yearn to get off it. I also don't - yet - experience the other so often described other signs of the disease.

Hi Carmi604.

Your first reading of the day of 150 may be due to "dawn phenomenon" which many of us experience. Are you eating breakfast and then testing 2 hours later? What meds are you on? What is your "regime"?

More info would help others help you more.

if you're expecting your fasting levels to be constant then forget it! Fasting levels will vary, but as long as they're in the correct range then you're doing well.

In my opinion!

Carmi, they are all the right measurement. What you have at a certain moment is what you have. waking up, eating, not eating, exercise, stress and the phase of the moon will all effect your reading.
As stated if it's your waking reading, I would not worry about it either.
