Food Diary, Glucose tracking, Insulin tracking

Hi, does anyone know of any software that can track EVERYTHING? I love the my-calorie-counter.com site but I don't see a place to put in glucose readings and insulin amounts. I'd love to track it all in one place!

I keep one in .rtf format, which is basically Microsoft Word. I also keep a glucose level diary the same way. I save them both as .pdf files after every update. Here is an example.

Sept 25.
2 servings of instant oatmeal. 18 carbs and 100 calories each serving.
1 tsp of margarine 0 carbs and 80 calories
2 pieces of sausage, 0 carbs and 85 calories each
Total carbs is 36. Total calories is 450.
Glucose leel is 101. No insulin taken.

Lunch.
1 peanut butter sandwich of,
2 slices of wheat bread 11 carbohydrates and 50 calories each.
2 table spoons of peanut butter, one serving, 7 carbohydrates and 190 calories.
1 cup of skim milk. 0 carbs and 80 calories
Total carbs is 30. Total calories is 370.
Glucose level is 156. 2 units of insulin taken.

Supper.
2 chicken breasts, boiled. 0 carbs. 120 calories each.
2 tbsp of cheese type sauce. 4 carbs per spoon.
Total carbs is 8. Total calories is 275, estimeate for chicken and sauce.
1 1/2 cups of turnip greens 4 carbs and 35 calories per 1/2 cup serving.
2 slices of wheat bread toast 11 carbs and 50 calories per slice.
Total carbs is 30. Total calories is 480
Glucose level is 176. 3 units of insulin taken.

Here is how the glucose level diary looks:

Glucose level diary.

Sliding scale of: (reading - 100) divided by 30 = units of insulin taken.
Sept 20, evening: 259

Sept 21: 199, 264, 239.

Sept 22: 169, 180, 155.
Sept 23: 158, 246, 136
Sept 24: 111, 148, 179
Sept 25: 101, 156, 176
Sept 26: 81, 129, 162
Sept 27. 125, 179,

It would be nice to have a glucometer that plugs into your PC and does it all for you. I use a OneTouch Ultra Smart and it has many features on the unit itself but no way to micromanage on my PC.

Do any of you on the fancy pumps have the ability to transfer data to your PC?

I use the Ultra Smart as well, and transfer my readings to the One Touch software, as well as the Animas software. Then when I transfer my pump readings I can run a multitude of reports.

This is a good program that I found to log carbs, weight, etc.
I do not use insulin, but you can also log that on this site and it creates reports for you too.

I should also mention it is free software to download.
It was developed by a father of a diabetic child in the UK,
and can be used anywhere not just the UK.

Try this dia-log.com a free daily diabetes logbook for blood glucose, insulin, doctor, medication, and insulin pump log[/url] It is free, and looks very promising. I just signed up, and I am looking it over. Best - Ted

a 2nd vote here for sugarstats.com - very nice and you can even send your readings in via an email and they will be parsed into the log.
