Yeah, yannah, I think it's time to see an endo and get the T1 test. You very well could be 1.5.

However, it was probably a good 8 weeks before the Met really started to work for me. Everyone is different.

yannah, ask for a c-peptide and a GAD test. These will help in a diagnosis. You are on a fairly low dosage and may need to increase it. Let us know how it goes with the Dr.

I was also started on a low dose of metformin & glipizide. Then it had to be gradually increased until they were doing their job efficiently (in conjunction with my diet & some exercise.)

It may just be that you need more medication - or it could be, as others have suggested that you need insulin. They'll probably work more with the meds first, since you're not at the maximum dosage. Just remember, it takes time for the medication to have it's full effect, so be patient. (Stress can make your numbers go up too!)
