Coffee Creamer

I've eaten all the right things today and when I tested a few minutes ago I was at 198!! Yikes! I could not figure out what could have caused the spike..until I rememebered 3 cups of coffee with yummy non-dairy black cherry liquid creamer. Just went and read the label...it is loaded with sugar/calories/carbs.

It's the little things that get me!

I've chosen to give up all my favorite flavored creamers. Even the sugar free type still has corn syrup solids in it. I use traditional Half and Half. The sugar free version has corn syrup in it. Gotta read those labels!

ugh, creamer creeps me out, especially the dry creamer stuff. That just CANT be good for even a healthy person.

Could you maybe just do milk (calcium!) and some sugar free flavoring if you can handle it? Or maybe just buy some black cherries and EAT them?

I would suggest putting a smooshed up black cherry IN your coffee, but my husband says I am just weird like that, and no one else would like that idea! He is a box thinker though and I wasn't even aware there was a box till I met him

I had to give up my favorite flavored creamers also - they were contributing to my high blood sugars. I tried the Sugar Free versions of the International Delight, but it tasted awful.

Now I buy DaVinci Sugar Free syrups and plain half and half for my coffee. Tastes every bit as good and no carbs, no sugar.

Thank You!!

Thank you all for the input! I think I will allow myself the luxuary of one cup a day with creamer (I like a lot of creamer with a hint of coffee ) which I will measure and count in with my daily carbs. Rest of the day...it will be half and half with alot of coffee
