1 year ago I weigh 343 lbs. In 6 months I lost 20 lbs. without even trying. (not sure why). I was told by my doctor that I had type 2 on October 2, 2008. Since than I have lost 26 lbs. and now weigh 297. Hurrah yeah and all those good words.
I never intend to weigh 300 again

Kenny,
Its always good to keep loosing the extra pounds that we have. I lost about 25 lbs after diagnosis. But haven't lost any in the last 6 months. I'm not worried as I feel a lot better and in good control.
Just remember, permanent baby steps are better than big steps that are not permanent. I'm sure you know it already -- just don't forget! (Sometimes I get into that all or nothing mentality.)
Good for you & your health.

I was just saying the same thing, for me it's 200 lbs. I've been slowly steadily losing for over a year now and I'm very close to 200. I'll get below by years end. Once I get to 195 I intend to never see another 200. Ever.
Unless it's all muscle.

Kenny - CONGRATS! Keep up the good work! I really need to know how you did it! I'd love to lose 15 pounds!
I just noticed you're from LOTO!! I lived in Osage Beach for a while, but moved to Camdenton last year. Perhaps a meet & great is in order? Shoot me PM some time.
