| | | hahahahahahahahah lol... this might be one of those "had to be there" things, but I will try...
I by all the groceries and do all the shopping and cooking for my roommate and I. needless to say her dinners have changed alot since my dx. she eats slot of spinach without saying a word. However I always buy her 2 things that are junky, one with salt and one with sugar. Well this week I was low on cash and didn't want to spend money on junky food. So she gets home form work, changes clothes, looks for food.
Where is my treat?
me: it is in the fridge.
her: I can't find it.
me: its the orange jiuce.
her: orange jiuce is my treat?
me: yes. I rented two movies for tonight.
her: i can't watch movies there is no snack food. Orange jiuce is not a snack food.
me: yes it is, orange juice/nutrageous candy bar...same thing.
her: how are they the same thing.
me: trust me. orange juice is a treat.
silence.
me: okay, i will go to the gas station and get you some spicey chex mix.
her: no thats okay.
me: well there are blueberries and almonds.
more silence
me: have them with the orange juice. even better.
her: laughing hysterically now...turn on the movie, I will have some orange juice.
me: laughing now, I will go get you a candy bar.
so i got dressed and went and got the candy bar and coke.
me? I had a diet citrus lipton green tea ... and...nothing.
the movie was still good. she woulda been fine with the juice.

| | I think... that was a lot like street poetry, and I also think... that she should get an allowance to buy here own effing junk food so you don't even have to think about it

| | Its true that people around us tend to change their diet and some even try to change their lifestyle after our diagnosis.
My family is eating healthy now (including my kids). Good for them

aaawwweee...I don't mind subby. This lady saved my life last year. she drove to Maine to pack my stuff and drive me to ohio
to live with her when I was at my worst. she pays 85% of our bills. she has helped me to get back to living. I would buy her chocolate and not eat any..anyday...
