Here am I to join the chorus at 152 this morning . . . it must truly be the full moon! I had wakened earlier but didn't test then. You'd think I'd have learned by now, wouldn't you?

My meal at the Mexican restaurant yesterday was somewhat more carby than usual . . . again - you'd think I'd have learned by now!

There we go, we can blame it on the full moon!!

I had lean flank steak on a salad last night!! *(*&^! (that's me swearing)

I'll ask the doc about the long acting metformin, see what happens.

Mine was 89 today. Haven't seen a morning number in the 80's (although it could be plus or minus a certain %) in almost a month. I'll take it.

133 this morning.

Registered 107 after supper last night, but had apple with peanut butter later in the evening. Yep - still diabetic . . .

128 at bedtime.
128 this AM...three hours later, I'm at 133 despite coffee and a bit of chicken salad for breakfast 90 minutes ago.
Just took a Metformin...(sigh)

The likely culprit? Ate one small-ish slice of pizza last evening...plus the cheese/veggie toppings from two more. Green salad...and a bit of fruit/pudding torte for dessert (I cannot believe that "cheating" involves fruit these days! I almost never ate fruit before. ).
Amazingly, I was <140 in under two hours, but...

Pizza sure does give one l-o-n-g, s-l-o-w burn...it couldn't have been the fruit - which I think got muffled with all the cheese & vinegar/oil based salad dressing.

I've heard about the phenomenon, but this is my first experience with it. Weird stuff...but this whole D thing is a bit of a wild ride.

Josselyn, I tried pizza last week ... again ... after a long hiatus. Never really been a pizza fan myself, but my family loves it. I really prefer the "healthier" versions made with whole wheat flatbread & can eat a small portion of that with minimal BG spike. But, I digress.

Last week, we got together with neighbors for a pizza meal. I had one piece of margherita pizza with salad & blue cheese dressing & spiked over 300!

Yeah, still diabetic ...

I feel like a walking chemistry experiment...daily.
Not complaining (at the moment), just making an observation.

Barrie, Linda, do you even imagine what our numbers must have been like before we knew we had D and ate "normally"?
I drank at least one can of Coke per day, for instance.

Probably got HFCS poisoning...and it manifested itself as D. Oy.

Oops. I shouldn't post until I'm wide awake. When I first woke up BG was 101. Bolused, fell back to sleep for another three hours, woke up, and at that point BG was 96.

Gack, now it's up to 136 with no food yet.
