All right just got Blood Work in. Plus lost 5 pounds, my endo was very happy...
Total Cholesterol: 143
Triglycerides: 167 (needs to be a little lower <150 is great)
LDL Cholesterol: 62
HDL Cholesterol: 48
A1C Blood Work: 5.4 down .2 since April ...
BR is a Happy Camper, now rest of Physical next month... Not too bad for almost hitting the big "50".. Have not been around here for a while having a very busy summer... Hope everyone is doing all right!

T2, diagnosed 8/31/06.
Metformin 500 mg twice daily
HCTZ 12.5 mg every other day for BP
Enalapril 20 mg 1 daily (ace-inhibitor)
Lower carb dieter (approx. 75 total carbs/day, more on weekends), taking chromium, multivitamin and fish oil tablets
Initial A1C 8/06: 9.6
11/06: 6.2.
03/07: 5.3
06/07: 5.4
10/07: 5.3
05/08: 6.2 (after dealing with shingles & bronchiti)
2/09: 5.5 |

Many people will try to tell you what you can’t eat with diabetes.
Most will be well-meaning.
Rather than compounding the problem by telling you what you should
eat, I’d recommend a simpler method, eat by your meter.
