| | | Kicking Butt!! Ok I keep saying I am a Firefighter (Asst. Chief) and a retired competitive powerlifter.
Well after I got the news about diabetes and being told my A1C was a 7.9.
This was on the last week in August (almost on my 42nd Birthday)
So I decided to get back in the gym and to get back to jogging. Well here we are the end of October and my A1C is a 6.4
I'm thinking about coming out of retirement!!

I am definitely at least going to coach but if I keep feeling this good I might get back to competing in the Masters’ category!

I know what you mean about feeling good, when I got my numbers under control I felt better than I had in years, now feeling well is my norm.

| | Well Bull! congratulations, now that's the spirit, just go for it.
Some how, having diabetes gives us this remarkable drive to do better irrespective of this awful disease we so endure.
All the best my friend.

Many people will try to tell you what you can’t eat with diabetes.
Most will be well-meaning.
Rather than compounding the problem by telling you what you should
eat, I’d recommend a simpler method, eat by your meter. Buddy 7 Essex uk |

| | You're kicking butt and taking names kid, many congratulations! Years ago I was into free fall sky diving and every time I landed I felt completely alive and powerful. I thought that I would never feel that good again, but lke you the success of my diabetes control and weight loss are just as thrilling!
Keep it up, you're doing great. But be careful or we might just have to order you a cape!

| | | Way to go Bull. You must not be eating typical firehouse cooking. I'm a retired firefighter and was glad I became diabetic AFTER my retirement because firefighters are not exactly known for healthy eating. LOL
Keep up the good work and stay safe.
