bodyPump at least 2 -3 times a week (duration 1 hour) cardio with weights.

Running / Jogging - Everyday (duration can be anywhere from20mins to 60 mins)but since Saturday have started sprinting
on treadmill at 12.3ks - with 30 seconds on/ 30 seconds off for 30-45 mins.

Badmington - 2 hours every Sunday afternoon. Occassional bike ride and kayaking - depending on weather - mostly weekends.

I walk at least 20 minutes at least once a day -- no special equipment or clothes, no trip to the gym, or excuses for why I am too busy/tired today etc...

I also walk to the store or park my car at the far end of the mall car-park (easy to find a space without endlessly circling, less risk of a door-ding), take the stairs where practicable and will take "smoke breaks"; where instead of smoking I walk around the block.

I prefer to think in terms of building activity into my daily routine; rather than having set times of the week for "exercise"

4 to 5 days a week I work out for an hour; I work 2 to 3 days a week, 14 hr days so those are my off days. I run, do Group Power (cardio weightlifting), Pilates, kick boxing, or elliptical. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, so if my joints are flaring, I will take a break from everything, but currently I am okay.

I admit, I have motivation other than health. I'm 30 with 2 kids and still like to wear a 2 piece swimsuit; I lost 110 lbs and have maintained for over 2 years, so I am a bit neurotic and vain ( a decade of obesity will do that). So, if I were working out for diabetes, I would probably walk rather than run and cut back on the length of activity.

I think I am the same as you are where I have already lost 8% body fat - so off course the kilos comes off. I know I am more motivated by vanity and yes diabetes was the push that I needed to get back into some exercise routine that I quite conveniently discarded a few years back!

Exercise bike 4 - 5 times per week, 30 min 10 mph, striving for greater frequency.

Recently adding on hatha yoga (relaxation and stretching type, not "power yoga!"), 3 - 4 times per week.

My MD says 30 or more minutes aerobics per day is best. I know he is right but it is challenging with a family!

22 minutes on a health rider (the original classic model) first thing when I wake up every day. A couple minutes of stretching before and after. If I am not at home, I look for some exercise machine at the hotel, or go for a long walk (about 1 hour) if nothing else is around.

Why 22 minutes? Because that is how long most 30 minute shows are when you skip the commercials. I watch something while I exercise to keep my mind from getting bored.

    Generally:

10 minutes with 5-lb handweights after breakfast (seems to help keep the after-meal rise down)

Weekdays: Use the stairs up and down from the 24th floor at least once a day. If the weather's nice, often a 15-20 minute walk at lunchtime

Evenings (probably 5 out of 7 nights): 20-30 minutes on a stationary bike, reading. If I do it right after dinner, it seems to keep postprandials down without causing a subsequent prolonged rise; if I wait an hour and a half, I get a much larger drop (can be more than 20 points, into the 60s), which then rebound within the hour.

I work out 2 hours a day 6 days a week. On Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I run 4 miles, do 45 minutes on the elipitical, and do the stairmaster for 30 minutes. On Thursday and Saturday I run for 2 miles, do 30 minutes on the elipitical, do the stairmaster for 15 minutes and do weight training with a personal trainer for 30 minutes. I also do yoga twice a week.

I am kind of a freak when it comes to exercise. In the beginning I was exercising to keep my blood sugar in check but now I mainly exercise to lower my weight. I have lost 60lbs and want to loose 10 more (which right now is darn near impossible).

40 Minutes of daily walking right after I wake up. About 2 - 2.5 miles depending on if its a treadmill or my hilly neighborhood.

I begun this regiment at the start of the year and am enjoying it and looking forward to it each day!

    I'm an Ex-Powerlifter.
I have started hitting the gym like I did in my glory days.
I am in the gym at least 4 days a week
(I have a full pro POWER gym in my home)
Some days I do doubles Hit the gym in the AM and then again in the PM. I found that at age 42 I am just as strong as I was in my 20's!
It's a shame it took the Doctor telling me I had diabetes to get me back into the gym again.
As for doing meets again, I'm thinking of being a ref as some of my old injuries would hold me back in some lifts.
