I don't know where in the Bay Area you live, but since I grew up in Fremont, I used that zip code to do a search for some local support groups. Here are the results: What's Happening Locally? - American Diabetes Association

Each of them have a phone number listed for contacting them, so you might want to call a few, to see if they know of any care partner type of groups.

Years ago I found a support group in my area through the medical clinic I was going to. I simply asked the nurse there is there was any support group. I found out there were many, for diabetes, heart patients, etc.

Good luck!

Well, HERE is good, lol.
You might call your local Diabetes office closeby and ask them. They should know. Good luck!
