Quick question

Months ago when I got my C-Peptide test or whatever test that tells you what type you are, My Endo told me I was T2 but 1 point away from being T1What does that mean? Am I more of a T1 then T2? What is this saying about my pancreas?

What was your glucose level at the time? Was your c-peptide done fasting?

My C-Peptide was taken while fasting. I don't remember my glucose level, but when I was first diagnosed it was like an 11. I did the C-peptide test like 2 months after I was diagnosed. I was on insulin too.

I think it just means you are still producing a little amount of insulin.

No doctor should be determining typage based solely on c-peptide, unless your c-peptide is quite high, which it doesn't sound like it was.

Don't know how completely true this is, but my endo won't do a c-pep on anyone who is already on insulin. She says that it makes the test invalid...however, I guess if you hadn't had any insulin basal or bolus for like 24 hours before the test, it should be valid, so who knows?
